ChatGPT Has Been Restricted From Working In China.

As the American developed AI chatbot, ChatGPT continues to gain popularity among tech users globally, China, a major rival of the United States, through their regulators has ordered tech companies and service providers to restrict the use of ChatGPT on their platforms and any product affiliated with them.

According to reports obtained from Chinese Regulators, this restriction is to ensure that the chatbot does not spread misinformation about the Chinese or their history as the Chinese government sees the American chatbot as a tool used by the US to create politically biassed and intentionally harmful content to the public.

Not only was ChatGPT banned, but also all of OpenAI products and every other Tech product they feel is greatly influenced by the American government.

The series of restrictions being mandated by China on its tech companies is said to have caused a decline in technology growth in the country.

China's search engine, Baidu has also been working on their own AI, which they plan to integrate in the Search results page of their platform, but with this recent development, it looks like the development of this AI bot by Baidu will be seriously looked into to ensure it follows the strict regulations of the Chinese Government.
